• What is the work life balance like and how many hours do physios work per week?

A full time working week is usually around 42 to 42.5 hours. Part time work is also very common, with many physiotherapists choosing to work 80% or 90%. This gives you plenty of opportunities to enjoy everything Switzerland has to offer in your free time.

• How fluent does my German need to be?

For full diploma recognition, you eventually need a B2 level in an official Swiss language. Some practices may already consider you with B1, depending on the position. If your German is not at the required level yet, we can help you work towards it while preparing for your move.

• How does the relocation process to Switzerland work?

We start with a quick chat to get to know you, your wishes and your plans. Based on that, we create a personalised plan for your move to Switzerland. From there, we guide you through the entire process, from diploma recognition and learning German to finding the right employer. Once you have found a job, we also help with practical matters such as your work permit, accommodation, insurance and registration. The preparation usually takes around 1 to 6 months, depending on your situation.

• How much can I earn as a physiotherapist in Switzerland?

Your salary depends on your experience, region and working percentage. As a guideline, a gross monthly salary of around CHF 5,500 is common. Thanks to the relatively high salaries in Switzerland, many physiotherapists are also able to save a good part of their income each month.
