Engaging every supplier with the same level of effort is hard to scale.

ACT maps supplier emissions and ranks where they sit in your footprint, giving sustainability and procurement teams a clearer basis for where to focus engagement first.

Because every agricultural supply chain is unique, when it comes to Scope 3 Category 1 agricultural emissions, generic programs will never be enough to help you hit (or exceed) your decarbonization targets. Our Scope 3.1 Program is built specifically around your value chain, farms, and relationships.

It’s different from other options on the market because we:

→ Work with you one-on-one to understand your and gather primary data

→ Look at your specific sourcing region and onboard farmers and suppliers

→ Work on a farm-by-farm basis to determine which regenerative practices can be implemented

→ Pay farmers for their sustainability contributions

We build every program to be third-party audited according to the highest standard. Plus, we use the finalized Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol)’s Land Sector and Removals Standard (LSR) as our North Star in everything we build.

Regenerative agriculture takes multiple years to yield results. If you’re looking to build a program, learn more about how we can help here: https://brnw.ch/21x5n3y

As 2030 climate targets begin to collide with 2027 budgets, energy contracts, and supplier decisions, climate accountability is becoming operational.

We’ll be at Sustainability Week Europe 2026 in Amsterdam on October 6-7 as a Gold Sponsor, joining 600+ leaders looking at how companies turn climate commitments into decisions the business can execute and stand behind.

→ Our CEO will be joining a panel on this very topic, and you don’t want to miss it.

The 's Land Sector and Removals (LSR) Standard is now final, and it likely changes your Category 1 planning.

🔹 The new Standard gives companies a live reference point their accounting is expected to align with.

It also pushes for more primary, farm-level data. That’s where we can help.

Most carbon credit programs on the market don’t actually move the needle on Scope 3 under the new Standard. Our program is built specifically to meet it.

Juma Martins, Head of Sustainable Agriculture and President at Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS) Board breaks down what makes our programs different.

🔹 That means:

→ Programs built around your supplier's farms, crops, ecosystems, and maturity

→ A marketplace that makes it easy for suppliers to cut their Scope 2 emissions

→ An accounting platform that produces audit-ready reports for CSRD, SBTi, CDP and TCFD

benefits take at least 3 years to account for accurately, so companies with 2030 targets need to start now. 🧑🏼‍🌾🌾

ACT's Ted Zhou addressed the big corporate decarbonization changes taking place in n China at this year’s International Green Zero Carbon Festival and 2026 ESG Leaders Summit in Shanghai 🎙️

Where ACT also received the 2026 Special Contribution Award for Sustainable Future and Qimin Zhang was named a 2026 Sustainability Pioneer. 🏆🏆

Our team in China can help you build a decarbonization plan and procurement portfolio that puts long-term resilience at the heart of your strategy. Connect with our team here today → https://brnw.ch/21x56yn 🔹

• Read Ted’s five shifts worth tracking •

→ Carbon costs and customer requirements are increasingly becoming part of core business decisions, not just annual disclosures.

→ Renewable electricity is shifting from annual total matching to more refined procurement based on time and geography.

→ Companies are tiering their procurement instead of buying one credit type across the board, mixing biomethane, certificates, and carbon credits based on where they operate.

→ Procurement is moving from a single year-end purchase to allocation spread across the year.

→ Decarbonization sits with sales, procurement, compliance, and operations teams now, not just the ESG department.

Working out what these changes mean for your own procurement plan? That’s a conversation best had with an expert.

Can the work happening on your suppliers’ farms count toward your Scope 3 inventory?

Until now, companies often relied on generic secondary source estimates, but the finalized Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol) Land Sector and Removals Standard gives companies a defined method for accounting for agricultural land emissions and CO₂ removals. It covers how traceability is established, when supplier-specific data can be used, and how removals can be allocated through the value chain.

🌽 You can now assess:

→ How closely your commodities can be traced to the farms producing them

→ Whether supplier data can replace generic emissions estimates

→ How reductions and removals should be attributed within your sourcing footprint

→ Whether an agricultural decarbonization program is designed to produce results you can account for

🎥 In this video, Ben McMurray, Agricultural Decarbonization & FLAG Specialist at ACT, explains what the finalized standard means for companies with Scope 3 Category 1 and , and how to start building an agricultural strategy around it.

The accounting rules are clearer, and now the work on the ground needs to meet them.

More supplier outreach does not always mean more Scope 3 progress. It can mean more chasing, more partial responses, and more time spent where the emissions impact is small.

Procurement teams that don't have time or budget to waste need to focus their starting point and prioritize the suppliers that can move your footprint.

Is your supplier outreach focused where the emissions impact is highest?
