Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The celebrity businessman and nightlife entrepreneur, who also serves as the South-East Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, had officially declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives after purchasing the APC nomination and expression of interest forms in April 2026.
Cubana Chief Priest had visited the APC state secretariat in Imo State to formally notify party leaders of his ambition to represent the Orsu, Orlu, and Oru East Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
In a post shared during his consultations, he described his ambition as a โhumble aspirationโ to serve his people and sought support from party stakeholders and supporters across the constituency.
Despite his strong media presence, celebrity influence, and visible grassroots campaign efforts targeted at youths and local communities, the socialite failed to clinch the partyโs ticket during the primaries.
His entry into politics had attracted significant public attention, especially due to his close association with the City Boy Movement and prominent figures within the APC political structure.
The outcome of the primaries is expected to generate reactions among his supporters and political observers, many of whom had closely followed his transition from entertainment and nightlife business into active partisan politics.
