WHAT IS IN YOUR HANDS?
For forty years, he was a shepherd leading his flock. That was all he knew best to do and he did with all diligence. It gave him joy and fulfillment.
But. . .
At time in his life, he was confused, angry and frustrated. The burden was too much for him alone to bear. The burden of leadership.
Moses had thousands of people under his watch to lead to the promised Land but he had no clue on how to achieve that because King Pharoa held his people bound and treated them like slaves.
So, one faithful day in the Sinai desert, God asked Moses; What is in your hands? Mosed looked up and down with irritation and wondered what He, God, has got to say this time around.
Before now, Moses had tabled before God so many excuses why he's not fit to lead the people out of Egypt.
* I am a stamerer
* People won't accept me or listen to me.
* I don't talk fluently.
* Please, send another person.
* Bla black bla.
God looked at him and just smiled. He may have thought; 'Oh! Only if this guy knew what he can do with what he already has'.
Moses looked at his hand and said, a staff, of course. (Like you don't know what I already have)?
Throw it to the ground, the Lord said.
He did and it turned to snake.
Aaarrrh! My staff turned to snake? He may have thought in bewilderment.
However, so many miracles were performed with just that singular tool in Moses' hand.
* The Isrealites were delivered from Pharoa.
* The red Sea was parted.
* He won the battle with the Amalekites
* Water gushed out from the rock
Just with that singular tool in his hands.
WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR HANDS?
Majority of us complain a lot. We give reasons why we can't do what we are supposed to do to better our lives because we think what we have is not enough.
"Use what you have because what you have is enough" . . . John Obidi.
"It is not what you don't have that limits you but what you have and don't know how to use it" . . . Steve Harris.
God never created anybody without raw materials for bettering his lot but it is our duty to find and utilize them and the more you do, the more He opens up doors for you.
Remember the parable of the talents where the one that had, more was given to him?
In the attached video, you can see that the baker does not have the 'love-shaped mould' for that cake but she impoverised.
She used what she had and the cap of creativity was instilled inside of her.
What do you have? Look around you, you have more than enough.
Stop complaining and get to work.
Excuses lead to NOWHERE!
