Job Summary

The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, staff, and materials between the company’s branches, warehouses, and designated delivery points.
The role requires strict adherence to traffic regulations, vehicle maintenance standards, and company operational procedures to ensure efficient logistics support across all superstore branches.
Key Responsibilities

Transport goods and materials safely between branches, warehouses, suppliers, and customers where required.
Ensure timely delivery and collection of items according to assigned schedules.
Inspect vehicles daily before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of assigned vehicles at all times.
Report mechanical faults, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly to management.
Keep accurate records of trips, fuel usage, mileage, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
Ensure all delivery documents, waybills, and receipts are properly signed and returned.
Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum of SSCE/OND qualification.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 3–5 years proven driving experience, preferably in retail, logistics, or distribution operations.
Good knowledge of road networks and routes within operational locations.
Ability to drive different types of vehicles (van, bus, truck, etc.).
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and understand delivery documentation.

Service diesel generators (20kVA–500kVA) in line with OEM standards.
Carry out routine preventive and corrective maintenance.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on diesel engines.
Service fuel systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, and exhaust systems.
Overhaul engines, replace worn components, and carry out alignments.
Support load testing and commissioning activities.
