About the role:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides overall strategic, operational, and leadership direction for the NGO, ensuring effective programme delivery, financial sustainability, strong governance, and stakeholder engagement in line with the organisation’s mission, vision, and values.
Provide overall strategic leadership and direction in line with the organisation’s mission, vision, and values.
Translate the Board’s strategic goals into executable plans, policies, and measurable outcomes.
Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all programmes and projects.
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, donor, and governance requirements.
Oversee organisational finances, including budgeting, financial controls, audits, and reporting.
Drive fundraising initiatives and resource mobilisation to ensure financial sustainability.
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with donors, partners, government agencies, and stakeholders.
Serve as the principal representative and spokesperson of the organisation.
Provide effective leadership and management of senior staff and the overall workforce.
Foster a strong organisational culture based on accountability, inclusion, and highperformance.
Ensure effective risk management, safeguarding, and ethical standards across all operations.Key Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
Minimum of 8 years progressive leadership experience, preferably within an NGO or development organisation.
Proven experience in strategic leadership, donor engagement, and organisational management.
