*Key Responsibilities:*
- Assist in coordinating and overseeing banquet events, ensuring timely setup, service, and breakdown.
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to manage event details, including seating arrangements, décor, and equipment.
- Assist with operations planning to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards during event setups.

*Qualifications:*
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (BSc/HND) in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0-5 years of relevant experience in banquet operations, hospitality, or event management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Vacancy for a Hotel Accountant

We are seeking for an Accountant to manage the accounting and financial functions of our clients at different locations – Lagos, Benin and Enugu. Please, indicate your preferred area while applying for the role. Accommodation is available for Benin only.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

1. Review of daily revenue report and provide an assurance with reference to accuracy,
valuation, completeness, cut-off, etc.
2.Daily banking and lodging of cash in the bank and reconciliation of POS transactions
3.Responsible for all POS charge back, disparities and complaints resolution
4. Responsible for enforcing all policies related to financial processes as regards to
credit/receivables management, purchasing and store management, sales
commission, repairs and maintenance, asset capitalization, etc
5. Monthly preparation of management accounts (performance & position reports, etc)
6. Prepare schedules for prepayments, accruals, depreciation and/or amortisation
7. Responsible for adjustments with the use of journal entries subject to approvals
8. Presentation of monthly performance report to the board of directors
9. Strong collaboration with Internal Control to ensure the effectiveness of internal
control measures across all areas of the business
10. Liaise with Internal Control for coordination of monthly stock take
11. Liaise with Internal Control for coordination of weekly bar stock take
12. Ensure the estimation and remittance of all statutory obligation – VAT, consumption
taxes, PAYE, pension, CIT, EDT, ITF, etc
13. Responsible for administration and management of staff payroll
14. Responsible for trade receivables and trade payables management
15. Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records
16. Responsible for daily posting or daily financial data entry to the accounting software
17. Liaise with other departments within the business for financial support
18. Manage relationship with bank representatives, tax authorities, tax consultant and
external auditors
19. Liaise closely with the financial controller for guidance on all financial related issues
20. Any other responsibility as maybe delegated by the financial controller, general
manager and/or managing director

21. HND or B.Sc. in accounting with a minimum of lower credit or second-class lower
division
22. Minimum of 2-3 years working experience. Industry experience is an added
advantage.
23. An accounting certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage, but it is mandatory
for the Enugu position.
