5 THINGS TO PAY ATTENTION TO ON YOUR CV.

1. Remove irrelevant info like Date of Birth, S£X, Religion, State of Origin, Marital Status, LGA, Primary & Secondary Schools Attended, Referees.

2. Use LOCATION instead of ADDRESS. Your location should be in this format City, State. E.g.

Location: Bariga, Lagos State

Location: Aba, Abia State

3. Customize your file name. Don't just use the default file name suggested to you by your computer. The correct format to doing this is Firstname_Lastname_Position
E.g. John_Cole_DigitalMarketer

4. Always save your CV in PDF (unless otherwise stated). Sending your CV in Word format will get it messed up at the other end due to version incompatibility. It may scatter and muddle the whole CV up, making it difficult to read.

5. Check for grammatical errors. This is very important because the recruiter is seeing you through your CV, so if you're poorly represented by it, you may not land any interview. You may send your CV to professionals (people who are into HR) for preview.
