"Do you know... ada company kat Jepun yang boleh tolong korang resign?" 🏃💨
We all know the feeling. Bila nak hantar resignation letter, jantung rasa nak tercabut, tangan berpeluh, pastu fikir 10 kali macam mana nak hadap muka boss. Sumpah awkward gila!
But in Japan, dorang ada solution: Resignation Agencies (Taishoku Daiko).
What’s the tea? ☕
Basically, korang bayar agency ni (like EXIT Inc. or Momuri) around RM600–RM900, and dorang settlekan everything:
No contact: Dorang yang call boss korang cakap "I quit."
Ghosting mode: Boss takleh kacau or call korang terus. Everything goes through the agency.
Settle barang: Dorang uruskan return laptop/uniform and bincang pasal pro-rated leaves.
Why though? 🤔
Kat Jepun, culture kerja dorang sangat strict. Kadang boss dorang tak bagi berhenti or buat guilt-trip sampai staff rasa mental health koyak. So, agency ni jadi "shield" untuk dorang keluar dari toxic workplace tanpa perlu kena marah or hadap drama.
Is it legal? ⚖️
Baru je hari ni (3 Feb 2026), ada news boss agency Momuri kena tahan sebab isu legal berkaitan lawyer act. Basically, they got in trouble because of the Attorney's Act in Japan. Even though they’ve helped over 40,000 people quit, they aren't technically lawyers. Police say they were acting as "middlemen", introducing clients to specific lawyers and taking a referral fee (around 16,500 yen or RM500+ per person). In Japan, taking a "cut" for legal referrals without being a lawyer is a big no-no. So, industri ni memang tengah hot gila and dalam pemerhatian pihak berkuasa.
Imagine kalau kat Malaysia ada service macam ni... Confirm ramai yang berminat, kan? Sesuai sangat untuk yang jenis introvert or yang dah tak larat nak layan drama office.
