Hi Rakan Grab,
The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has issued an official clarification regarding circulated posters on e-hailing passenger limits. Please take immediate note of these guidelines to prevent any misunderstandings during pick-ups.
The stated seating capacity refers strictly to the number of passengers. The driver’s seat is not included in this count.
This rule is fully aligned with official APAD guidelines:
🚗 4 Seats: Maximum 4 Passengers + 1 Driver
🚐 6 Seats: Maximum 6 Passengers + 1 Driver
Carrying more passengers than allowed is a regulatory breach and compromises road safety.
What to Do If Passenger Limits Are Exceeded:
~Politely inform passengers that this is a mandatory safety rule enforced by APAD and Grab.
~Advise them to book an additional vehicle or upgrade to a larger service class (e.g., GrabCar 6-Seater).
~Do not proceed with rides that exceed your vehicle’s permitted capacity.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter and for prioritizing safety on every trip.
