From 19 to 22 May 2026, 20 NIHONGO Partners (NP) and 20 Counterpart Teachers (CP) from all over Malaysia were reunited once again in Kuala Lumpur for the 12th Batch Mid-Term Report Session. The session was held from 19 to 21 May at the St. Giles Hotel Boulevard Kuala Lumpur.

It has already been three months since our NPs departed for their respective schools, carrying with them both excitement and uncertainty. Over the past three months, they have gained valuable experiences and lessons, overcome new and unexpected challenges, and returned to Kuala Lumpur having grown through their journey with their CP.

This session was organized as a way for the NP and CP to revisit and exchange some of the activities that they have conducted, while also serving as a platform for them to discuss and address some of the challenges they encountered during the first half of their tenure. This program also serves as an opportunity for the NP and CP to engage in a productive exchange of ideas and to set the goals that they would like to achieve for the remaining period of the tenure.

By listening to presentations on activities and ideas from other NP-CP pairs, as well as engaging in group discussions, participants gained fresh inspiration for future activities while sharing both achievements and challenges with one another.

The 3-day session concluded on 21 May 2026, with the NP and CP returning to their respective schools, hopefully with a renewed sense of goals and aspiration for the remaining period of the 12th Batch NP Programme.

We wish all of them the best for their continued journey and sincerely hope that the remaining period of the Programme will be a truly meaningful and fulfilling experience for all of them!
