🚢 Adora Cruises Strengthens Malaysia–China Cruise Tourism Cooperation
On 27 May 2026, Malaysia's Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, visited the headquarters of Adora Cruises to discuss deeper cooperation in cruise tourism and regional cultural tourism development, with the shared goal of promoting the growth of Asia's cruise industry.
As one of Southeast Asia's leading tourism destinations and a key maritime hub, Malaysia offers rich tourism resources, excellent port facilities, and strong market potential. Moving forward, Adora Cruises will work closely with Malaysian partners to enhance cruise route development, port collaboration, shore excursion experiences, and cultural exchange programs, creating more diverse cruise vacation options for travelers across the region.
As a major milestone in this collaboration, the renowned "Ship of Art" – Adora Mediterranea will homeport in Port Klang, Malaysia, operating eight international cruise sailings from 24 November to 19 December 2026. These sailings will contribute to the excitement of Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
The itineraries will include: ✅ 3 Days 2 Nights and 4 Days 3 Nights cruises to popular destinations such as Penang, Langkawi, and Phuket, Thailand ✅ 6 Days 5 Nights cruises to Nha Trang, Vietnam
These voyages are designed to cater to a variety of travel preferences and provide memorable cruise holiday experiences.
In addition, Adora Magic City and Adora Flower City are also scheduled to call at Kota Kinabalu and Port Klang later this year.
Minister Tiong King Sing stated:

We highly appreciate Adora Cruises' commitment to the Malaysian market and its efforts in promoting bilateral tourism and cultural exchanges. We welcome Adora Cruises to establish a regional office in Malaysia. Through continued collaboration in cruise operations, port services, and talent development, we are confident that we can further strengthen Asia's cruise economy."

Known as the "Ship of Art," Adora Mediterranea measures 292 metres in length with a gross tonnage of 86,000 tonnes. The ship features 1,057 luxurious cabins and suites and accommodates up to 2,680 guests. Inspired by Mediterranean civilization, the vessel showcases beautiful artwork, sculptures, reliefs, and classic Mediterranean architectural elements throughout its design. Guests can also enjoy spectacular entertainment, including the Mediterranean Romance production show and themed parties such as Golden Nile, bringing authentic Mediterranean charm to life at sea.
Currently, Adora Cruises operates three large cruise ships: ⚓ Adora Magic City (China's first domestically built large cruise ship) ⚓ Adora Mediterranea ⚓ Piano Land
Its network covers East China, South China, North China, and Hong Kong, offering year-round operations from multiple homeports.
Meanwhile, Adora Flower City, China's second domestically built large cruise ship, has entered sea trials and is scheduled for delivery on 6 November 2026. The ship will embark on its maiden voyage from Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Terminal on 22 November 2026, offering guests a cruise experience that is "More Beautiful, More Technological, and More Chinese."
