Recruiters spend seconds on your resume before deciding to keep reading or move on. A few small mistakes are usually why the good ones get skipped.
Skip the generic objective statement. Nobody reads it and it doesn't tell anyone what you're actually good at.
Add numbers wherever you can. "Improved sales" is vague. "Improved sales by 18 percent in six months" tells a story.
Don't leave gaps unexplained. A short one line note about what you were doing, studying, caregiving, or freelancing is enough.
Small fixes, bigger callbacks.
