【Legal Manager】
*Salary:*RM8000-12000
*Working Time:*9am-7:30pm (2 hours lunch break, alternate Saturday)
*Remarks:*Employees work on-site and off-site
Job Responsibilities:
1. Report directly to the Board of Directors.
2. Ability to perform legal drafting and review for commercial agreements and related documentation for Company’s internal and external purpose independently to protect Company’s best interest.
3. Oversee and ensure compliance with relevant licenses granted by respective governmental agencies in terms of internal department operations, business activities, and legal documentation.
4. Liaise with external panel firms on any contractual, commercial, and litigation matter of the Company.
5. Apply effective risk management techniques and advice Management on all legal and risk management matters in a timely and comprehensive manner.
6. Review all internal SOP, policies of the Company from time to time. Specify internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
7. Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations. Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to relevant or all parties in the organization.
8. Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust. Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces.
9. Maintain current and updated knowledge of alterations in legislation. Conduct regular seminars and training regard to a specific matter concerning risk management and relevant legislative changes to the employees.
10. Perform tasks responsibly on a timely basis, with integrity and due diligence inclusive of preparation of a comprehensive report on task progress and complete recording purposes.
11. Lead and manage legal, risk management, and internal audit team of the department.
12. Undertakes any other tasks and assignments directed at the discretionary of the Management.
Job Requirements:
1. Minimum Bachelor of Law (LLB) (Hons) from a recognized university.
2. Candidate required a minimum of 3 years working experience in legal, compliance, and risk management environment, preferably with practice certificate.
3. Proficiency in English, B. Malaysia, and in Mandarin as to liaise with China counter part
4. Experience in Corporate and Litigation practicing area not less than 2 years.
5. Knowledge and experience in MACCA, AML/CFT, and PDPA compliance
