Hi
Dreaming of working in Australia?
If you are looking to secure a job in Australia under the Skills in Demand (Subclass 482) employer-sponsored visa pathway, having clear and verifiable evidence of your employment history is important.
The Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA) may require applicants to provide evidence supporting their claimed skills, qualifications and employment history. This may include employment references and other supporting documents.
One useful document to support your employment history is a Statement of Service, which provides details of your employment, position, duration of service, duties and remuneration.
Your Statement of Service Should Include the Following Information:
1. Issue date of the Statement of Service
2. Company letterhead and official company details
3. Candidate's full name
4. Position title(s) held
5. Exact employment period for each position
6. Working hours per week
7. Main duties and responsibilities performed
10. Salary or remuneration received
11. Name, position, official contact details and signature of the authorised company representative
For reference, we have included a sample Statement of Service below.
Important
The Statement of Service should be issued and signed by an authorised company representative, such as an HR Manager, Manager or other authorised superior.
References from colleagues at the same level or below may not be accepted.
All information provided should be accurate, complete and consistent with the employer's official records, as the employer or authorised representative may be contacted by the relevant Australian authorities to verify the employment details.
Proper preparation of employment evidence can help ensure your visa application is well supported and professionally presented.
