POSITION SUMMARY

Provide guidance on capacity building through mentorship and coaching approaches in line with MOH Implementing Partner implementation framework.
Provide support to MOH in developing Mentorship guidelines, SOPs and training curriculum including facilitation of mentorship trainings.
Collaborate with M&E team in designing and implementing the entire HIV cascade M&E system.
Provide support to facility staff in employing continuous quality improvement initiatives for integrated service delivery in Hubs and Spoke sites.
Conduct capacity needs assessments amongst service providers, support capacity building sessions through trainings, supervision, mentorship and coaching sessions.
Promote awareness of emerging technologies and best practices within the organization.
Develop user guidance and reference materials to improve ICT utilization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of a Degree in Clinical Medicine or Nursing. A Master’s Degree in a health-related field is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years’ prior experience in managing similar activities in the private or public health sector, with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
Experience working in HIV/AIDS, TB, Malaria, RMNCH and Community Health programs.
Certified second line ART Prescriber.
Knowledge of health systems strengthening, community systems strengthening, donor reporting requirements and data quality assurance.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Assistant supports the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities across project implementation sites. The position is responsible for routine data collection, verification, quality assurance, reporting, field monitoring, and capacity building to ensure the availability of accurate, timely and reliable data for program management and donor reporting.

The MEL Assistant is a roving field-based position supporting multiple implementation sites. The incumbent works closely with Project Coordinators to monitor implementation progress and reports administratively to the Project District Leads and technically to the MEL Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Data Management

Collect, verify, analyze, and report project data from implementation sites.
Conduct data quality assessments, validation, cleaning, and ensure timely data entry into databases and electronic systems.
Track project performance against indicators and contribute to regular donor and project reports.
Support surveys, evaluations, assessments, and research activities.
2. Field Technical Support and Capacity Building

Conduct supervision and monitoring visits to assess project implementation and data quality.
Train, mentor and support staff, health workers, and community groups on data management and reporting.
Assist in implementing digital health and electronic reporting systems, including mobile data collection tools.
Identify operational challenges and recommend improvements to enhance project outcomes and information systems.
3. Coordination, Learning, and Accountability

Collaborate with project teams, government stakeholders, and partners to strengthen monitoring and reporting processes.
Support beneficiary feedback systems and document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.
Participate in
review meetings, learning sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to promote data-driven decision-making
