KSU reaffirms its commitment to fostering a university environment where every student is treated with dignity, respect, and equality.

The rights and protections enjoyed were not achieved overnight, but are the result of years of advocacy, resilience, and the courage of those who challenged discrimination and worked towards a more inclusive society. Recognising these struggles allows us to appreciate the progress that has been made while reinforcing the importance of safeguarding the dignity and rights of all members of our community.

As the representative body of all University of Malta students, KSU believes that every member of our community should feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves without fear of discrimination.

Our message is one of solidarity with LGBTIQA+ students and the wider Pride community. Regardless of differing opinions on policy matters or public commentary, respect for human dignity and the promotion of inclusion remain values that should unite us all.

🥹 Our Last Monthly Recap 🥹

May was an emotional, busy, and unforgettable month for the KSU family. 💛

The month kicked off with an intense conference week organised in collaboration with European Students’ Union for the Student Convention of the Alliances 2026, which we had the honour of hosting. A huge congratulations goes to our VPI Jan, our Student and International Affairs Officer Martina, and KSU Alumni & ESU Board Member Bianca for their incredible dedication and hard work throughout the event. 👏

This month, our Executive Board also had the pleasure of hosting, together with the University of Malta and as part of MUDU Malta, the University General Election Debate. The event brought together five party leaders from parties contesting across every district in the upcoming elections, creating an important space for discussion, dialogue, and student engagement.

Of course, life at KSU is not only about work. ✨
This month we also celebrated Kokka Night 2026, a special evening dedicated to recognising and rewarding student representation and achievements throughout the 2025/2026 term. Stay tuned for more photos from an unforgettable night. 📸

The Executive Board also held its final board meeting before handing over to the incoming team for the 2026/2027 term. We are excited to welcome the new team into the KSU family and cannot wait to see what the future holds. 💫

To round off an incredible year, this year’s team wrapped things up with a Kokka Camping trip filled with memories, laughter, and plenty of tents — and yes, no trees were harmed in the making. 🌲⛺️
