When you trust someone with staffing decisions, personal data, and access to private environments, you are also trusting their accountability. And this is where many problems quietly begin.

Here, at WVB CONNECT, we often speak with clients and candidates who assumed that any agency operating in the EU market must be regulated. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. We continue to see agencies and even private individuals presenting themselves as recruiters without holding any recruitment licence at all.

Operating as a licensed recruitment agency in Malta (EU) requires far more than registering a company. Authorities assess ownership and management background, financial standing, professional competence, data protection procedures, record-keeping, and how candidate information is stored and processed. Compliance is reviewed not only at the start, but on an ongoing basis.

This matters because when something goes wrong with an unlicensed operator, there is often no clear responsibility. We have seen situations where candidate data was mishandled, agreements were unclear, fees were disputed, or placements collapsed without any formal recourse. In some cases, individuals presenting themselves as recruiters disappeared entirely once a problem surfaced.

For clients, this creates unnecessary legal and reputational risk. For candidates, it can mean loss of privacy, unclear employment terms, or being placed in roles without proper verification.

At WVB CONNECT, we specialise in placing trusted professionals in private households across Europe and the Middle East. We are now recruiting for a family of four based in St. Julian’s, Malta (European Union), who are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper.

This is a live-in position, with a live-out option available for candidates who live nearby and can start early in the mornings. The role is open immediately, with the latest start date in September.

The role focuses on daily housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and keeping the home organised and well-maintained. A valid driving licence is essential, as you’ll also take the children to school each morning.

To be considered, candidates must have experience in similar private household roles, hold a valid driving licence, and speak fluent English. A warm, reliable nature and strong attention to detail are essential.

Only EU citizens or residents can be considered for this position.

If you're an expat in Riyadh, here's a place you must visit - Al Diriyah, also known as the 'Pearl of Saudi Arabia.' It boasts over 300 years of culture, heritage, and history. Home to Al Turaif, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers museums, hotels, and exhibition halls. Travelers flock here to experience authentic Saudi Arabian culture through sites like the Al Bujairi district and Diriyah Museum.
Getting to Diriyah is easy, just a 20-minute drive northwest of Riyadh. It's recommended to hire a private taxi for full exploration, although some travel agencies offer guided tours.
The best time to visit is from September to March when the weather is cool and pleasant, avoiding the scorching summer temperatures typical of the desert climate.
