IT BUSINESS PROJECT ANALYST

The role is for an experienced BA (3 – 5 years) experience who can work closely with Business Users (BU) to bridge the gap between business and IT. The role requires a person who can assess processes, research topics, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations that will need to be validated by stakeholders. Since the company is multinational, the role requires that the person is able to operate in a multi-cultural environment interacting with and following teams that are diverse and geographically dispersed. Advanced technical skills and excellent documentation are mandatory for this role. The role requires that the selected candidate be a team player.

The functions of this role are:
* To understand the needs of the BU and perform requirements analysis transforming these needs into written specifications;
* To evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions;
* To follow and work around agreed budgets, time and resources;
* To conducting meetings and presentations to share insights, findings and plans to cross-functional teams and management;
* To act as an interface between BU and Local / Offshore / Outsourced IT teams;
* To understand the needs of BU and translate them into technical specifications for IT and vice versa;
* To organise and attend meetings related to project be they initiation, planning, design, ex*****on, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project;
* To work with the Project Manager to manage the project and ensure that the project is kept on track and that milestones are maintained;
* To suggest projects and functions that provide added value to the organisation;
* To work with technical and business teams on topics related to UAT (helping in the creation of test plans);
* To document and report to management on the status of projects and advice on the same;
* To familiarise oneself with the Group’s security, legal, data processing and technological processes and frameworks;
* To assist and advice Local IT on subject matters related to the efficient and effective use of data;
* To provide 1st line training or support on projects;
* To report and manage issues and bugs in projects;
* To assist/update/advise the local IT Director on topics being managed;
* To advice/guide the IT Director on topics related to strategy;
* To staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems;

Our client is looking for a Money Laundering Reporting Officer

Core Competencies Required
• At least 3 to 4 years of financial services experience and at least 2 years’ experience as an MLRO – ideally in the pensions and trust environment
• Experience of working in EU Financial Services Industry in Malta
• Qualifications - AML Certifications, Lawyer, Accountant
• Fluency in English is a must • Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of the Maltese regulatory and AML framework

Responsibilities (not limited to)
• As the nominated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (“MLRO”), be the principal point of contact for liaising with the Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) and Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (“FIAU”) and other relevant bodies and third parties in connection with AML/CFT Matters; • Preparing and submitting all of the relevant regulatory reporting to the MFSA and FIAU as required; • Monitoring the MFSA and FIAU website for the release of revised standards and guidance; • Leading and managing relevant aspects of any audits or visits from the MFSA or FIAU;

• Be responsible for the implementation of an effective Customer Due Diligence Policy and Customer Acceptance Policy;
• Be responsible for maintaining an up to date Customer Risk Assessment process taking into account the risks identified for the business; • Assisting with the preparation and updating of internal policies and procedures continuing to ensure compliance with local regulatory standard;
• Be responsible for maintaining an effective and relevant Business Risk Assessment encompassing present and any future risks the business is or may become exposed to;

Duties and Responsibilities
• Acting as primary contact with clients who have structures administered and managed by the company
• Building and maintaining a relationship with clients, settlors, beneficiaries and their advisors;
