Position Reports to: Senior Vice President, Business Development
Position Summary:
Potawatomi Business Development Corporation – Federal Group (PBDC-FG) is the Federal Contracting & Support Division of PBDC. As an American Indian Tribal (AIT) Corporation, PBDC-FG provides its subsidiaries with corporate infrastructure and processes in support of providing agile, world-class services and products.
PBDC-FG is seeking a qualified Market Intelligence Manager who supports all levels of PBDC-FG Business Development (BD) stakeholders from the Executive Level to Program Managers through Market Intelligence Collection, Analysis, and Distribution, and plays a vital role throughout the entire BD Process by providing timely and insightful Market Intelligence reports.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Market Intelligence Collection:
Develop and adopt processes to proactively identify new business opportunities and market movers utilizing available Open-Source Federal Contracting sites such as SAM.gov (FBO, FPDS, etc), USASpending.gov, GSA eBuy, Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS), Deltek GovWin IQ, and Bloomberg Government.
Support and collaborate with PBDC-FG Executives and General Managers to develop and execute strategic growth plans
Compile market intelligence reports to assist with Business Development Marketing & Outreach campaigns and strategies
Assist Business Development Leads with opportunity-specific intelligence collection such as industry, customer, or POC intelligence
Market Intelligence Analysis & Distribution:
Provide timely and impactful analysis reports of new opportunities and market movers such as Fiscal Year (FY) budgets, major bills, regulations, customer leadership turn-over, and industry news.
Assist with Capture Management and Proposal Development teams with market intelligence analysis related to opportunity-specific intelligence collection, acquisition regulations, acquisition trends, and recent solicitations
Other Business Development Support:
Attend Business Development meetings with PBDC-FG BD Division, Executive Team, General Managers, and BD Leads to support and contribute to ongoing initiatives.
Support the Senior Vice President, Business Development on other BD Activities as required.Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Policy, Public Administration, or similar area of study.
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar role.
Ability to build strong internal & external networks and teams.
Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
Extensive experience with Open-Source Federal Contracting sites such as SAM.gov (FBO, FPDS, etc), USASpending.gov, GSA eBuy, Dynamic Small Business Search (DSBS), Deltek GovWin IQ, and Bloomberg Government.
Demonstrated experience developing, distributing, and briefing Market Intelligence reports and analysis.
Experience throughout each stage of the Federal Business Development Process, especially Capture Management and Proposal Development.
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business, Public Policy, or Public Administration.
Prior Civil Servant or Military Role involved with Federal Contracting.
Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM platform.
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:
Some walking and standing required. You may have to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books, tools) weighing approximately 10-15 pounds.
Most of the work is performed indoors
Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time
Requires standing periodically
Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend
