Hello dear ladies and gentlemen!

We are extremely happy to announce that our company has turned 28 years old. A lot has happened over the years. We went through both pleasant and positive moments, and through not very joyful and difficult ones. Nevertheless, as always we are trying to think positive and never give up.

We would like to thank you everyone, and especially our seafarers who have been with us all these years, your loyalty and dedication are very much appreciated, furthermore we believe this is not an endpoint of our growth and success. That's a pleasure to operate with such friendly and warm staff dedicated to the single goal and led by the same principles.

Good evening, everyone!

Much time ago, we launched the trend. One more time, we would like to say that we are grateful to everyone taking part!

Here is the First digest of 5 answered questions we have received:

1. How big is earning potential among sailors?
Answer: There is no exact answer to this question. Salary varies according to many factors such as type of a ship, company, and seniority (time spent working for the company). Maritime career can end up in the operational office as well as in the role of technical superintendent or inspector. For example, captains may expect a salary above 10 000 USD per month.

2. How long it takes to climb a career ladder from intern till captain?
Answer: It depends on lack, skills, and academical knowledge. One of the captains who helped us to answer these questions did it in 11 years. However, there is no specific time during which seafarer inevitably becomes a captain. By the way, we advise you not to believe people or organizations that are promising you a position of captain in 2 years right after graduation. The only thing we are sure of is that you may expect to work not less than 10-15 years before getting a raise to captain. (Do not rejoice yourself that you will become a captain straight after the graduation)

3. Do sailors face any serious conflicts during the voyage? How they solve them if disputes occur? Is it possible to leave a ship during the contract due to toxic team members or something like this? What would be the circumstances of that?
Answer: Of course, in a multinational team, some conflicts occur like in routine life at the shore. If it is possible to solve the problem on the coast, the same will be at sea. Nevertheless, it’s necessary to try being polite at any time. Seafarers should respect other cultures and respectful to every crew member. Friendly relationships onboard payback via reliable cooperation and outstanding performance. Some seafarers underestimate the importance of useful links on board. In our opinion, good relationships may turn a time spent on board to heaven or hell.

4. Are there any incorrect facts about sailors people believe?
Answer: “It is about seamen having a wife in every port.
Tell your girl-friends they can sleep quite!” (Captain)

5. Does a captain hold an absolute power on board, or there are things he’s not permitted to do on his own?
Answer: Captains give only lawful order and MLC very well regulates it.
