🎉 April 1st- April Fools’ Day Across Europe 🎉
April 1st is a day full of laughter, jokes, and playful tricks celebrated all across Europe! 😄 While the spirit is the same everywhere, each country has its own unique traditions.
👉 In France and Belgium, people stick paper fish on each other’s backs – known as “Poisson d’Avril” 🐟
👉 In United Kingdom, jokes are usually played only until noon – after that, it’s bad luck!
👉 In Germany, the day is called “Aprilscherz”, and it’s all about harmless pranks and funny stories
👉 In Poland, people say “Prima Aprilis” and enjoy joking with friends, family, and even in the media
👉 In Lithuania, the day is known as “Melagių diena” – people play light-hearted pranks and share funny stories with friends and colleagues
👉 In Netherlands, “1 April” is also celebrated with jokes, often inspired by the historic phrase “Op 1 april verloor Alva zijn bril” – linking humor with history
No matter where you are, it’s all about spreading smiles and having fun 🎭
