Thirty years ago, a vision took shape.
Founded on the determination of Capt. Klaus Kriwat, Mercantile Marine Management Ltd has grown into a trusted name in global crewing — built on people, partnerships, and performance.
Behind every vessel assignment, every challenge overcome, and every milestone achieved, there has always been one constant — people.
The seafarers who carried our name across the world’s oceans with professionalism and pride.
The employees whose dedication built our foundation.
The clients and principals — including leading European and international partners — whose trust has sustained us over decades.
Our commitment has always gone beyond crewing.
Mercmarine established Sri Lanka’s first seafarer training institute, contributing to the careers of hundreds of maritime professionals — including Masters and Chief Engineers serving today across global fleets. We continue to support this legacy through our ongoing stake in training development.
Today, we proudly support 800+ seafarers worldwide, backed by a structured talent pipeline and strong standards aligned with MLC and ISO frameworks, while continuing to strengthen Sri Lanka’s contribution to the global maritime workforce.
We are equally committed to shaping the future.
Our efforts in diversity and inclusion — including advancing opportunities for female seafarers and recognised by the global Maritime SheEO platform — reflect our belief in a more inclusive maritime industry.
As we celebrate this milestone, we also look ahead.
With a strong foundation, Mercmarine is expanding its global footprint into Poland and the Philippines — strengthening our international partnerships while creating greater opportunities across our seafarer network, including our Sri Lankan talent base.
And to the families who stood behind every voyage — this journey is yours too.
Today, we celebrate with pride and gratitude:
30 years of people.
30 years of partnerships.
30 years of proven delivery.
And with the values that built our past, we move forward with confidence.
