From navigating unpredictable conditions to spending long periods away from loved ones, seafarers continue to serve with remarkable professionalism and resilience.

We take particular pride in the Sri Lankan seafarers who represent our nation across the world's oceans. Thirty years ago, a vision took shape.

Founded on the determination of Capt. Klaus Kriwat, Mercantile Marine Management Ltd has grown into a trusted name in global crewing — built on people, partnerships, and performance.

We are proud to announce that Navigation Cadet Ms. Sarani Rameesha has joined Oldendorff Carriers, becoming the first Sri Lankan female Navigation Cadet to sail onboard their fleet.

While Oldendorff has long been home to talented female seafarers worldwide, this milestone marks an important step forward for Sri Lankan representation at sea.

Sarani’s journey is more than a personal achievement — it reflects a shifting tide in the maritime industry, where skill, determination, and courage continue to redefine what is possible.
