សត្វព្រៃជាអ្វី? ស្ដាប់ទៅវាដូចជាងាយក្នុងការអោយនិយមន័យ ប៉ុន្ដែក្រុម Future Focus Vision មានការភ្ញាក់ផ្អើលបន្ដិចសម្រាប់ចម្លើយមួយចំនួន។ ជាឧទាហរណ៍សត្វជ្រូកជាសត្វចិញ្ជឹមជាអាហារមិនមែនសត្វព្រៃនោះទេ។ នេះហើយជាមូលហេតុដែលយើងអញ្ជើញវាគ្មិនមកចែករម្លែកអំពីជំនាញរបស់ពូកគេ។
Nick Marx អញ្ជើញមកពី Cambodia Wildlife Care បានមករស់នៅប្រទេសកម្ពុជាអស់រយះពេល២៥ឆ្នាំដែលពីមុនជានាយកអង្គការ Wildlife Alliance និងបានធ្វើការជាមួយសត្វព្រៃអស់រយះពេល៥០ឆ្នាំ។ គាត់មានចិត្តចង់ជួយមនុស្សជំនាន់ក្រោយអោយយកចិត្តទុកដាក់លើការអភិរក្សហើយគាត់ហាក់ដូចជាធ្វើវាបានយ៉ាងត្រឹមត្រូវប្រសិនបើក្រុមយើងមានការចង្អុលបង្ហាញ។
ការធ្វើបទបង្ហាញរបស់លោកទៅកាន់ក្រុមដឹកនាំកម្រិតខ្ពស់របស់យើងកាលពីសប្ដាហ៍មុនបានធ្វើអោយពួកគេចូលរួមយ៉ាងពេញលេញជាមួយនិងសំនួរជាច្រើននិងមានការសន្ទនាយ៉ាងរស់រវើកបន្ទាប់ពីការធ្វើបទបង្ហាញ។ក្នុងរយះពេល៤ខែចុងក្រោយនេះនៅពេលដែលយើងដឹកនាំក្រុមនេះឆ្ពោះទៅរកគម្រោងសហគមន៍ផ្ទាល់របស់ពួកគេយើងបានណែនាំពួកគេអំពីបញ្ហាសង្គមនិងដំណោះស្រាយជាច្រើន។ ជាមួយនិងពេលវេលាដើរទៅមុខពួកគេបានស្វែងរកប្រធានបទគម្រោងហើយបានបង្ហាញចំណាប់អារម្មណ៍តិចតួចក្នុងការអភិរក្សសត្វព្រៃ។

Future Focus Vision: Conservation Awareness
What is wildlife? It might sound straightforward, but our Future Focus Vision group were a bit surprised at some of the answers. Pigs, for example, generally thought of as food, not wildlife.
This is why we have guest speakers come and share their expertise.
Nick Marx from Cambodia Wildlife Care has lived in Cambodia for 25 years, formerly as director for Wildlife Alliance, and worked with wildlife for 50 years. He is passionate about educating the next generation to care about conservation and he seems to be doing it right if our group are any indication.
His presentation to our advanced leadership group last week, had them fully engaged, with lots of questions and resulted in some lively conversation afterwards.
Over the last four months as we steer this group towards creating their own community project, we’ve introduced them to a range of community issues and solutions.
With time marching on, they were struggling to find a project topic and had shown little interest in conservation.
But Nick, and his colleague, Stephane De Greef, an environmental engineer and conservation and insect expert, provided just the kind of insight that ignites curiosity and drives interest.
Stay tuned as this group spend the next 10 weeks planning and delivering a project focussed on conservation.
