Salary Negotiations can be tough! But with these steps, we can help make that conversation less tough!

1) Before the interview, figure out the market rate of your role.
Before you even step into the interviewing room, you should know the market rate of your role, or what people in similar jobs, in your location, and with your level of experience, are making. To figure this out, ask people in your network what they make or look on websites.

2) Use your research to prepare a data-driven argument.
The best approach to getting what you want is making a data-backed argument for yourself. You can do this by doing background research on the role, and looking at your market value online. To avoid confrontation, focus the conversation on facts and data.

3) Aim higher than you want to — negotiating down is easier.
Resist the temptation to prove that you are a great negotiator. It's important to aim high in distributive negotiations to ensure successful bargaining. You can withhold any information on the minimum you're willing to accept from bargaining for the best results.

Our client in Tanzania, is hiring for a Senior Marketing Executive - Tanzania.

Responsibilities
· Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to drive brand awareness and enhance market presence.
· Implement and oversee the five Ps of marketing (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, and People) to optimize marketing strategies.
· Establish and maintain consistent branding across our five brands, ensuring cohesive messaging and visual identity.
· Demonstrate a creative and keen design sense to develop visually appealing marketing materials.
· Create original graphics and design elements to support marketing campaigns and initiatives.
· Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all marketing collateral.
· Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer trends and preferences.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
· Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovative marketing techniques as appropriate.

Qualifications
· Tanzanian national with a thorough understanding of the local market and cultural dynamics.
· Proven experience in marketing, preferably in a managerial role.
· Strong knowledge and practical application of the five Ps of marketing.
