ith a heart.” We do not exist simply to make a profit, but to nurture and promote artists from Kibera slum and to develop a structure that provides employment for young people. Owner Samuel Njiru’s family has resided in Kibera for four generations, and he understands the struggle that young people from Kibera face in finding meaningful employment. His vision for Ndoto Mtaani is to give back to the community of Kibera through his business by training other young people to secure a livelihood through handmade products as well as promoting individuals who are already producing handmade goods, art and music.
