It is the third week of government mandated social distancing. Many of us would wishing that somehow this whole pandemic would end and we could return to the way things were before COVID-19 reached Kenya. This is entirely normal. We are earnestly praying that the Almighty God will let this scourge pass as he saves this country from the severe effects of the virus.
I believe that we are managing change on a massive scale to our personal and professional lives. Change is stressful, even when it is positive change, and it may be difficult to find the positive in the world-wide change caused by this pandemic. Eventually, our ability to thrive in the post-COVID world will depend on our ability to squeeze lemonade out of the lemons we’ve been dealt, but for now it’s okay and even healthy if you find yourself in one or many of the stages of grief.
What we know as UEB:
• This pandemic will be managed and we will walk out of it victorious as a people
• That the life post COVID-19 will be full of opportunities through new inventions & business growth needs, and that we must prepare to tap from such nature given opportunities
• That there will be a widespread renaissance, economic and social rebirth, and that job opportunities will be created en masse to meet the economic growth demands worldwide
