I was reminded again today just how quickly news travels in our industry. Before we had even finished our briefing sessions, our story was already moving through group chats, competitor circles, and the usual online commentary.
So, for clarity, the only facts that really matter are the public ones.
Today, Fullcast Holdings Co., Ltd. and Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd. issued timely disclosures to the TSE confirming that Fullcast has agreed to acquire RGF Talent Solutions Japan K.K. and RGF International Recruitment Holdings Limited, with the transaction scheduled to close effective April 1, 2026.
If you know our business, you will understand why this is getting attention. Over the last 28 years we have built a fantastic platform stretching from Japan across most of Asia. Today that means 24 offices across 17 cities. Not quite the footprint we had at our pre-Covid peak, but in many ways a better business. More streamlined. More focused. More effective. And importantly, more profitable.
What I care most about right now is not the noise outside. It's the people inside. When an acquisition is announced, uncertainty is what competitors try to sell. It is also what good people naturally feel. That is why we spent time with our teams today to be direct and transparent. There are no immediate plans to change our name, we remain RGF. Nor do we anticipate any changes to working conditions or employment terms as a result of this transaction.
The work continues and our standards remain high.
And there is another side to this story that can get lost in the headlines.
In a very large corporate group like Recruit with a publicly stated mission to drive hiring through AI, a niche human driven business, like ours, can get lost in an extremely big picture. Under new owners, like Fullcast where permanent recruitment and executive search are clearly strategic growth priorities, our business will have more visibility, more influence, and more momentum. This is the clear opportunity I see. Two groups with complementary strengths, and a stated intent to support continued growth in Japan, across Asia and beyond.
To our clients and candidates, thank you for the trust you place in us. To our employees, thank you for your professionalism and focus, especially on a day when distractions are everywhere. I am genuinely super optimistic about what we can build next with your continued support, and confident in the journey ahead.
Wish us luck!
