Born and educated in England, Simon J Blake is the pen name of an experienced security professional with a background in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force, where he served in various units including the Criminal Investigation Department.

His debut true-crime book, The Witchhunters, was published by Penguin Viking in 2019.

He is currently developing a near-future political eco-thriller with Trentin Agency — a story shaped by climate pressure, geopolitical tension, maritime vulnerability, and the moral complexity of power in a changing world.
