Our mission is to allow women the opportunity to learn and play roller derby and to promote women’s athletics. The Ash Kickers Sigonella Derby League is an all female flat-track roller derby league based onNaval Air Station Sigonella, located near Catania, Sicily, Italy. We are a not for profit, tax exempt organization that donates volunteer time to charitable causes in the Sigonella community. We

are dedicated to community building and support for women’s sports. The Ash Kickers Sigonella Derby League is comprised of loyal women who multi-task careers, motherhood, community involvement, business, pleasure, sports, and entertainment. The league promotes and supports competition between determined, beautiful, and unique women. Our League was formed with the purpose of promoting the sport of roller derby and giving back to the community. The Ash Kickers Sigonella Derby League follows all rules and regulations of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association

Above all, we are an amateur athletic organization, priding itself on the strength and diversity of its all-female skaters. Referees and coaches must be over 18. • Do I have to be fit and athletic to play Roller Derby? No. Women of all shapes and sizes are encouraged to play. • AKSDL’s training program is designed to increase fitness gradually at a pace that is comfortable to you. • Do I need to know how to skate?
