POSITION: MES LEAD

About the Role
An experienced MES Lead to drive end-to-end MES implementation, system integration, and digital manufacturing initiatives for PCBA and Box Build operations. The
role requires strong MES expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to translate manufacturing needs into robust digital workflows that improve traceability, productivity, and process control.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead deployment, configuration, and optimization of MES modules covering work orders, routing, WIP, traceability, quality, and production performance.
• Integrate MES with ERP, SCADA, automation controllers, SMT/THT/test equipment, and shop-floor systems.
• Define data models, machine interfaces, and communication protocols (OPC, MQTT, REST APIs, SQL).
• Guide MES customizations for EMS-specific requirements such as yield capture, rework loops, genealogy, and process controls.
• Lead UAT, validation, commissioning, and rollout of MES enhancements and new modules.
• Build dashboards, KPIs, and analytics for productivity, OEE, quality, and bottleneck visibility.
• Mentor junior MES engineers and serve as the technical point of contact for MES issues.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for system failures and ensure long-term corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation, specs, interface definitions, and change records.
• Ensure MES compliance with IPC, ISO, customer audits, and traceability requirements.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• 8–14 years of MES experience in EMS/electronics/high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on expertise with major MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, iTAC, Cogiscan, Aegis, etc.).
• Proven experience in machine integration across SMT, AOI, SPI, THT, testing, and assembly operations.
• Proficiency with SQL, scripting, data modeling, and industrial communication protocols.
• Strong understanding of PCBA processes, routing, test flows, and yield/defect analytics.
