PACES CRAFTS P.A.C.E.S. stands for Production of Artisanal Crafts for Empowerment of Society. Our workshop is located close to Ranchi, in Jharkhand, India.

Our mission is to produce exclusive & western designed handicrafts to empower vulnerable women through fair trade employment. In our workshop women are trained in the crafts of handweaving, crocheting, sewing and embroidery, to make exclusive handmade products for the international market. Each of these products tell the unique story of the artisan who made it and her journey of empowerment. Paces

Crafts makes products of hope that aim to contribute to a positive change for people who wear and make our clothes. Paces Crafts is founded by the Belgian non profit organisation SOLID. PACES stands for Production of Artisanal Crafts For Empowerment of Society.

WHY? To empower people so that, together, we can contribute to an inclusive world where everybody matters. HOW? With Paces Crafts we provide meaningful work that gives tribal women a fair chance to take their lives into their own hands and uplift their society. WHAT? We make beautiful handmade textiles that inspire people to dream of a better world.

As a social company, Paces Crafts aims to double it’s impact by investing all profits made in social projects that protect vulnerable children in need. Like this our artisans are not only empowering themselves and their families. They share their wins and invest in a better future for their own society.

Paces Crafts is founded by the Belgian non profit organisation SOLID. Solid puts people in the South on track to take their lives in their own hands and to make help, on term, unnecessary. Solid does this with hybrid organizations: sustainable joint ventures of responsible commercial entities and social organizations.
