So, for success certain skill sets are important..Like-

* communication skills- when you are able to communicate well with your customers, they will feel connected with you! And here half of the problem solved..

* Leadership quality- you need the quality to lead, influence or guide other individuals team or entire organization. Leadership traits include honesty, confidence, commitment and creativity. So this quality moves you to the path of success..

* Initiative- initiative is the action you take to solve any problem ..So you should be the first one to take action against certain problem.

* Team work- It is the collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal.. For any business to succeed teamwork is essential..Because one person cannot do everything. Neither a business can grow in the environment ,where it's employees fight or compete among themselves..

* Flexibility or Adaptability- If you have the ability to cope with the unexpected disturbances/ problems coming around ,then you will definitely succeed..

* If you do not pricing your products or services correctly, then failure may happen..

You can take over an existing business...that might be working or non working..

Buying a business involves more upfront cost..Get ready for that! Also you have to acquire the valuable patents or copyrights of that business...

If the business is in working condition the problem of the seller can be anything...like- he has no more interested in that business ..or not capable to cope with his day-to-day life and business..etc..
Or

The seller can sell the business which is in non-profit, non working, or in stagnant stage..then the buyer can give certain direction to that business, and turn it to the path of progress with his own expertise..
