Job Title: Operation Head - Agriculture

Job Summary
The Operation Head will oversee the day-to-day operations of our agricultural activities, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources, personnel, and processes. This role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, and coordination across various agricultural functions to maximize productivity and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Identify areas for improvement and innovation in agricultural practices.
• Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of agricultural activities including crop production, livestock management, and facility maintenance. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, including labor, machinery, and materials. Optimize the use of resources to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback.
• Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets for agricultural operations. Monitor financial performance, control costs, and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure high standards in production and operational practices. Address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to agriculture. Promote a culture of safety and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Vendor and Supplier Management: Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers. Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including key metrics and KPIs. Analyze data to drive decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
• Innovation and Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies. Evaluate and implement new practices and technologies to enhance operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in agricultural operations.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of agricultural processes, machinery, and technologies. Proficiency in using agricultural management software and tools.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Financial Acumen: Experience in budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
• Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of agricultural regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
