⚙️People often believe they are on the right track, only to realise later that they were being evaluated on something different. This confusion tends to build gradually through unclear goals, shifting priorities, and feedback that comes too late.

In many organisations, appraisals become difficult when expectations, goals, and feedback are not consistently communicated throughout the year. By the time appraisal conversations happen, employees are left reacting to surprises instead of reflecting on growth. Clear expectations, regular feedback, and honest conversations throughout the year can make performance reviews feel far more fair, useful, and constructive.

✅At Arthan, we work with organisations to build stronger people processes, clearer communication, and more transparent workplace cultures. Fill out this form to connect with us – https://forms.gle/a3sEUmFSqmQZiSqL7

Once appraisals are over, most organisations move on to the next priority.
But this is the best time to pause and reflect as the experience is still fresh.

Employees remember what worked well, what felt unclear, where the process felt fair, and where it created confusion or frustration. Managers also have immediate insight into what slowed them down or what could have been simpler.

If you wait until the next appraisal cycle to review your performance management system, those details are often lost. The opportunity to make improvements becomes much harder.

👜The release of Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace 2026 offers an important perspective on how employees are experiencing work in an evolving workplace landscape.

Conversations around AI largely centre on productivity and efficiency, but the report also highlights important questions around engagement, wellbeing, manager support, and workplace experience.

As workplaces adapt to new technologies and changing structures, the future of work will equally depend on innovation and how people experience work every day.

📃Most strategies are apt on paper but fail in translation.

Leaders invest significant time crafting direction, aligning at the top, and setting priorities. Yet somewhere between the leadership offsite and Monday morning, clarity dissolves. Ownership blurs. Teams optimize for activity over outcomes. And a strategy that made perfect sense on paper quietly stalls in ex*****on.

✅If this sounds familiar, register now for our upcoming webinar DecODing Organisational Alignment: Translating Strategy into Clear Team Priorities - https://forms.gle/rd1gmW7qMXjmVibp6

In this 90-minute interactive session, we will explore bringing alignment into the day-to-day working where ownership is clear, teams are coordinated, and work is tied to outcomes.

📢We are excited to announce our upcoming interactive webinar ‘DecODing Organisational Alignment: Translating Strategy into Clear Team Priorities’ happening on 14th May!

As organisations grow and evolve, one challenge that keeps showing up is the gap between strategy and ex*****on. Plans are made, priorities are set, but between the leadership table and the team, clarity gets lost. This session is designed to change that.

✅Spots are limited, so we encourage you to register early and secure your place - https://lnkd.in/dp8_xw5K

Over 90 minutes, we will explore how to bring sharper clarity to team priorities, how to strengthen coordination across functions, and how to shift from task-based working to outcome-driven roles by giving your teams the focus and direction they need to execute with confidence.

🎯Whether you are a leader, a manager, or someone who sits at the intersection of strategy and people, this session will leave you with practical frameworks, real examples, and tools you can apply immediately within your teams.

Organisational policies look clear on paper. But the question is:
🔸Are they understood the same way by everyone?
🔸Do managers know how to apply them in complex situations?
🔸Do employees feel confident using them?

This is where organisational development work becomes critical. Policies work best when they are part of everyday decisions as organisational culture is shaped by what is consistently practised.

At Arthan, we work with organisations to bridge this gap by aligning policies, people, and practice so they work in everyday situations.

⚙️In many organisations, when something isn’t working such as low engagement, high attrition, teams not collaborating, the instinct is to fix it quickly.

Run a training. Launch a new process. Introduce a new tool

The challenge is that without fully understanding what’s causing the issue, these solutions often miss the mark.

🎯That’s where our work begins.
We spend time listening to people, understanding day-to-day realities, and looking at what the data is actually telling us.

Numbers and lived experiences don’t always say the same thing. Ignoring that gap often leads to interventions that don’t work.

We stay involved after the first rollout. Change happens after a solution is delivered, as people begin to use it, adapt to it, and see value in it.

✅If this resonates, the next step could be starting a more thoughtful conversation about what’s really going on within your organisation and what it will take to address it. Reach out to us - https://forms.gle/a3sEUmFSqmQZiSqL7

India’s giving ecosystem continues to mature, as detailed in the India Philanthropy Report 2026 by Bain & Company and Dasra. While overall funding continues to grow, the focus is shifting to how capital is organised and deployed for long-term impact.

The report highlights a move towards more structured giving, the evolving role of family philanthropy, and the need to strengthen key systems such as intermediaries, data, and talent.

📃A policy gets introduced. Templates are rolled out. And yet, there is often uncertainty about why things do not translate on the ground. Many employees are left trying to figure out the system while balancing day-to-day work, unclear expectations, and limited support.

Performance systems are far more likely to work when people feel confident using them in everyday situations when they have the clarity, context, and support needed to apply them well.

If a system exists but is not quite showing up in day-to-day practice, it may be worth looking more closely at how it is being experienced and applied by managers.
