Job Description:
• Underwrites new business/resolving at an average of 30 cases per day allocated as per the individual authority grid.
• Scrutinize all attached documents for completeness and check the supportings.
• Carry out risk assessment and approve the case if all in order or else raise pendings in view of incomplete/additional information.
• Arriving on decisions on non std cases and receiving sign off by immediate supervisor
• Coordinate with the reinsures and ensure accuracy of information provided to the reinsures during case referral.
• Facilitating the issuance of various big-ticket cases by offering creative solutions to resolve the pendings and negotiating with the region & reinsure
Key Areas:
• Review and sign off on cases referred to by the junior underwriter
• Do a quality check ensuring all documents, guidelines are being followed and prudent decisions made
• Supervision the individual teams on case distribution & completion of the same.
• Review the cases underwritten by junior underwriters on a monthly basis to minimize error rate.
• Monitor capacitisation & performance optimization of the staff month on month with the aim of increasing the productivity of the team.
• Recommend the team members for enhancing the roles and underwriting authorities basis the review
