This Janmashtami and Teachers’ Day, let us remember the greatest teacher of all — Krishna.

And one of his powerful lessons was the role of Shikhandi.

Born Shikhandini and later living as a man, Shikhandi became crucial to Bhishma’s fall. Perhaps that was Krishna’s lesson: Dharma does not ask us to fit into society’s boxes. It asks us to stand for what is right.

Shikhandi was not a footnote in the Mahabharata. Shikhandi helped change its course.

Today, let us remember those society chooses to overlook — because the person the world refuses to see may carry the strength to change the world.

A little support can help us put dignity on wheels. ❤️☕

Our Chai with Dignity initiative has now moved into its next chapter — and honestly, we are overwhelmed by the response.

We are receiving more and more requests from transgender women who want an opportunity to earn with dignity, and every request reminds us why this initiative matters. A trolley is not just a tea stall. It is a livelihood, a sense of independence, and the chance to stand on one’s own feet with pride.

We have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help us create more Chai with Dignity trolleys, so that we can respond to the many requests coming our way.

We are not asking everyone to donate. If you can support financially, please do. But if you cannot, you can still make a difference.

Please take a moment to watch the video, like it, share it, and help us reach someone who may be able to support this campaign. Sometimes, your one share can take a story to the person who can turn it into a livelihood.

We have the requests. We have the people ready to work.
Now we need the resources to create more trolleys.

☕🌈 5 Chai with Dignity Stalls. 5 New Beginnings.

We are super excited to announce that 5 Chai with Dignity stalls will soon be operational across Mumbai! ❤️

Our dream is simple — not charity, but opportunity. Not dependence, but entrepreneurship. Not just employment, but dignity.

✨ 3 transgender entrepreneurs have already been selected, and the selection process for 2 more is underway.

Through Chai with Dignity, Kineer Garima Foundation is creating pathways for transgender community members to become independent entrepreneurs and build sustainable livelihoods.

This journey would not have been possible without the incredible support of our donors, partners, allies and well-wishers who continue to believe that dignity begins with opportunity.
