Condé Nast was the first international publishing company to enter the Indian market with 100 per cent ownership, publishing its first magazine, Vogue India, in 2007. Since then, under Managing Director Alex Kuruvilla's leadership, Condé Nast India has made substantial investments, setting a benchmark for the industry and establishing itself as the only multimedia company dedicated to reaching the affluent Indian.

Our first cover of the year is a “beach shack” in Juhu, as Ambika Hinduja Macker jokingly refers to the house she designed for her brother in Mumbai. At 4,000 square feet on multiple acres of Mumbai’s most prime real estate, with soaring ceilings and giant picture windows, and with a signature sculpture by Joseph Walsh tumbling out of the pitched roof in the main living space, there is nothing shack-like about it. “Ambika has done a brilliant job of making the incredible space whisper rather than shout,” writes AD Editor Greg Foster in our January 2019 issue.
