FYJC Science students actively participated in a poster-making activity and an insightful lecture to raise awareness about climate change and its impact on polar bears.

The initiative, led by Shweta Ma’am, encouraged students to think critically about environmental conservation and take responsibility towards protecting our planet. It was an engaging and meaningful learning experience for all.

The campus came alive as FYJC students brought energy, strategy, and teamwork to the VVPL – Vidya Vikas Premier League (Season 1) Intra-Class Box Cricket Tournament held on 7 March 2026.

With 8 teams and 64 players, the tournament celebrated true sportsmanship, healthy competition, and unmatched student spirit. More than just a tournament, it marked the beginning of an exciting new sporting tradition at Vidya Vikas.

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of patriotism. The programme began with the arrival of the Chief Guest and flag hoisting, followed by a disciplined march past by students, reflecting their respect and love for the nation.

The celebration highlighted the national theme “Swatantrata ka Mantra – Vande Bharat and Samruddhi ka Mantra – Aatmnirbhar Bharat” through an engaging commentary and video presentation. Students and staff also took a pledge promoting copy-free examinations and literacy.

Cultural performances, including speeches, group songs, dances, street plays, and a fashion sho,w beautifully showcased patriotism and social awareness. Marking 150 years of Vande Mataram, its historical significance was shared, followed by a powerful mass singing that filled the atmosphere with national pride.

Fifty students, along with three faculty members from Vidya Vikas Universal Degree College, Malad (West), attended the Design Conclave 2025 at Whistling Woods International.
The event featured insightful panel discussions and hands-on workshops in Animation, Game Design, Fashion, and Visual Communication. Our students gained valuable exposure to industry practices, emerging trends, and creative innovations through sessions led by leading professionals.
It was an inspiring and enriching experience that sparked imagination, enhanced creativity, and deepened design awareness among all participants.

Our college successfully conducted a Faculty Development Program on “Competency Assessment Centre Training Workshop” in collaboration with Universal MSG-SGKM College of Arts, Science & Commerce.

The insightful session was led by Mr. Bhushan Lawande, Executive Vice President, Universal SkillTech University, who shared his valuable expertise in skill-based learning and human resource development.

A total of 24 faculty members from VVUC, MSG-SGKM, and LUC Law College gained in-depth knowledge on competency mapping, behavioural indicators, and assessment centre methodologies.

The workshop encouraged collaboration and empowered our educators to integrate competency-based practices for enhanced academic and institutional growth.

Our students enthusiastically participated in the National Level Letter Writing Competition organized by Bhartiya Dak Seva (India Post) under the Jan Seva initiative — celebrating heartfelt expression, creativity, and the timeless charm of handwritten letters in today’s digital world.

Students of our college gained hands-on exposure during a one-day industrial visit to Parle-G (Man Foods Pvt. Ltd.) and Navneet Education Ltd. The visit provided practical insights into manufacturing, quality control, and supply chain operations. It was a valuable learning experience that effectively bridged classroom theory with real-world industry practices. A special thank you to both organizations for their warm hospitality and informative sessions.
