IBPS RRB NOTIFICATION 2017-18 OUT FOR 15091 VACANCIES IN 56 BANKS

The recruitment notification for IBPS RRB 2017 has been finally released by IBPS. IBPS RRB 2017 Notification has released for IBPS RRB Assistant 2017 and IBPS RRB Officer 2017. Exam Dates, Exam Centre, Recruitment Process, Syllabus, eligibility criteria etc. has been revealed with the release of notification (unofficial) for IBPS RRB 2017.

IBPS RRB is conducted every year for selection to the post of both IBPS RRB Assistant and IBPS RRB Officer Cadre in Regional Rural Banks spread across the country. This year, IBPS RRB Assistant 2017 is going to be conducted tentatively on 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th September, 2017 (Preliminary Exam). The Mains Exam will be conducted on 12th November 2017.

IBPS RRB Officer Grade 2017 will be conducted tentatively on 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th September, 2017(Preliminary Exam) and the mains exam for the same will be conducte on 5th November 2017.

SBI PO 2017: Exam Pattern And Marking Scheme For Preliminary Exam

NEW DELHI: State Bank of India will conduct the Preliminary exam for recruitment of Probationary Officers on April 29 and 30 and May 6 and 7. The Preliminary exam is the first stage and is the qualifying examination. While the marks scored in Preliminary examination is not considered for preparation of shortlist of selected candidates, it is important to score good marks in the preliminary exam. Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam and score marks equal to or more than a set cut off mark, only are eligible to appear for the Main exam.
In this article we will first discuss the exam pattern for Preliminary exam and the marking scheme and then we will also see the cut off trend from last year.
SBI PO 2017 Preliminary Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

Preliminary exam will be objective in nature and will be a computer-based test. The exam will be of one hour duration. There will be three sections in the test paper:
English Language
Quantitative Aptitude
Reasoning Ability
The English Language section will have 30 questions, Quantitative Aptitude section will have 35 questions, and Reasoning Ability section will have 35 questions. Each question will carry one mark. For every wrong answer marked in the online test, one fourth of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted from the total score.

SBI PO Preliminary Exam Cut Off

Last year, the overall cut off for General candidates was 47.50, for OBC candidates was 44.50, for SC candidates was 38.75 and for ST candidates was 29.25. The overall cut off for Orthopedically Handicapped candidates was 36.00, Visually handicapped candidates was 37.00, and for Hearing Impaired was 15.75.
The section-wise cut off marks for SBI PO Preliminary exam held in 2016 is given below:
English Language: 8.75 for general candidates and 6.00 for reserved category candidates.
Quantitative Aptitude: 7.25 for general candidates and 4.25 for reserved category candidates.
Reasoning Ability: 7.00 for general candidates and 4,25 for reserved category candidates.

IBPS Final Results May Soon get Published, Skipping the Interviews

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), according to news reports, has decided to scrap interview for clerical posts this year. They will come out with the final results this year without conducting personal interview round of the selected candidates in the Mains written examination. The institute is waiting for the final approval of the same from the top officials from the banking sector. They will take the final decision once things are settled in the higher authorities.

The decision to scrap interview in all the Grade C and D posts in the government sector from the year 2016 was taken by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The banking sector was also asked to abide by the decision taken by Prime Minister Modi. If the IBPS decides to scrap the interview round for this all together, the final list of successful candidates for this year will be up soon in their website.

But the aspirants who have passed the mains written examination might have to face the psychometric test conducted by IBPS. Those candidates who have made through to the list of selected candidates scoring cut off marks, will have to undergo psychometric test to finally get selected for the posts in offer at various banks around the country.
