The best marketing team may not be bigger.
It may simply combine three things better: human strategy, AI speed, and real customer insight.
We are seeing this shift in our own client work.
For one client, our team used AI to speed up research, analyse large volumes of customer feedback, and test multiple messaging routes.
But AI did not decide which message mattered. Our strategists went back to customer conversations and campaign behaviour to understand what the numbers were missing. That distinction matters.
AI can help teams produce more, test faster, and spot patterns earlier.
But without real customer input, it can also make weak assumptions travel faster. The market is moving in the same direction. Gartner reports that marketers expect AI-driven automation of marketing work to rise from 16% in 2026 to 36% by 2028.
At the same time, Salesforce found that 81% of marketers in India have adopted AI, while disconnected customer data remains a major barrier to effective engagement.
Our takeaway is simple: use AI to compress the work, not replace the thinking.
The strongest teams will know when to trust the machine, when to question it, and when to go back to the customer.
Where is your team still relying on speed when it really needs insight?
