Recruitment for Technician Apprenticeship Training

Tata Steel Limited invites applications for recruitment of Technician-Apprentices (under the Apprentices Act, 1961)

ELIGIBILITY:

1. Qualification:

Diploma Pass candidates only approved by AICTE or UGC Candidates who have already completed a Technician apprenticeship are not eligible.

2. Eligible Trade:

Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation. Must have passed Diploma on or after 1st January-2018.

3. Age:

The candidate must have been born between 01-July-2003 and 01-July-1996 including these two dates. Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates must have been born between 01-July-2003 and 01-July-1995 including these two dates.

4. Physical Fitness:

• Height: 152 cm. (for girls 142 cm)

• Expansion of Chest: 5 cm

• Eyesight 6/6 in both eyes with glass

• Colour Vision: Normal

Domicile:

State of Jharkhand

6. Stipend and Training Details:

a) The candidates on recruitment as Technician Apprentice will get stipend during the training period as specified in the Apprentices Act

b) Training duration will be of one year.

c) On successful completion of the training, we will award the Apprenticeship Completion Certificate

ITI Pass candidates only. (NAC certified candidate is not eligible) ITI/NTC passed with minimum aggregate marks of 70% (60% for SC/ST candidates).

2. Eligible Trade:

Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Turner, Machinist & Welder/Welder Cum Gas cutter. Must have passed ITI on or after 1st January 18.

2. Age:

The candidate must have been born between 01-July-2003 and 01-July-1996 including these two dates. Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates must have been born between 01-July-2003 and 01-July 1995 including these two dates

ELIGIBILITY:

1. Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent examination having passed in all subjects with minimum aggregate marks of 70%

(60% for SC/ST candidates). Must have English, Science and Mathematics as subjects in Matriculation or

Equivalent examination. (9.5 x CGPA =% Marks, if applicable)

2. Age: The candidate must have been bom between 01-July-2002 and 01-Jan-2006 including these two dates. Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates must have been born between 01-July-2001 and 01-Jan 2006 including these two dates.

Stipend, Training and Employment Details:

a) The candidates on recruitment as Trade Apprentice will get a stipend during training period as specified in the Apprentices Act, provided the performance and conduct is found to be satisfactory.

b) Allocation of Trade and Duration of Training Allotment of trades will be based on merit of the candidate in the written test and interview. The training period will be for a maximum of 2 years

c) The Trade Apprentices Training Programme is governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 and its latest amendments

d) On successful completion of training and being awarded the National Trade Certificate on clearing the All India Trade Test (AITT), if appointed, the candidate can be placed at any location of Tata Steel Ltd, It's Subsidiary or associate company of Tata Steel Ltd.

During their training period, the out-station candidates will be provided free hostel accommodation with food (at subsidized rates).
