Position: Quality Head / Quality Manager – Tipper Body Building Company

Experience: Minimum 5 years (Tipper body building / fabrication / automotive / heavy engineering industry preferred)

Skills & Competencies
To lead the Quality Function of the Tipper Body Building division by ensuring product quality, process standardization, compliance with customer and OEM requirements, and implementation of APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, and related quality tools for continuous improvement.
1. Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans.
2. Good understanding of welding processes (MIG/MAG), fabrication quality, WPS/PQR, and NDT.
3. Experience with heavy vehicle body building, fabrication, and machining processes.
4. Hands-on exposure to measuring instruments – Vernier, Micrometer, Height gauge, Bore gauge, etc.
5. Knowledge of hydraulic tipper functioning and critical safety checks.
6. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD (optional), and quality documentation tools.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
8. Team handling, communication, and interdepartmental coordination skills.
9. Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 quality documentation requirements.
10. Ensure adherence to OEM requirements (BharatBenz, Tata, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra, etc.), industry standards, and regulatory norms.
11. Lead 8D analysis for customer complaints and warranty returns.
12. Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and implement CAPA.
