राजस्थान सिर्फ़ जन्मभूमि नहीं, कर्मभूमि भी!
Dear Rajasthani diaspora - doesn't just want your visits. It wants you. And so do I.
Let me tell you why I say that.
Rajasthan is my janambhoomi. And it is my karambhoomi too - by choice, not by default. I could have set up anywhere. The metros were open, the world was open. But I kept circling back to one question: 𝗜𝗳 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘂𝘀, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻?
Here's a piece of trivia I hold close.
Look at Gujarat. A Gujarati can be in Nairobi, New Jersey or Singapore and still be deeply, unmistakably tethered to home. They send capital home. They send ideas home. They send their children home to remember where they came from. Distance never dilutes their belonging, it multiplies their contribution.
That's a lesson, not a comparison.
The truth is, our bond with Rajasthan already exists. We just express it in prayer more than in projects.
𝐸𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟, 𝑙𝑎𝑘ℎ𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑢𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑦 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑 - 𝐾ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑢 𝑆ℎ𝑦𝑎𝑚 𝐽𝑖 𝑖𝑛 𝑆𝑖𝑘𝑎𝑟, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐷𝑎𝑟𝑔𝑎ℎ 𝑖𝑛 𝐴𝑗𝑚𝑒𝑟, 𝑆ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑗𝑖 𝑖𝑛 𝑈𝑑𝑎𝑖𝑝𝑢𝑟, 𝐾𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑖 𝑀𝑎𝑡𝑎 𝑖𝑛 𝐵𝑖𝑘𝑎𝑛𝑒𝑟. 𝑊𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑓𝑜𝑙𝑑𝑒𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑢𝑙𝑙 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑠.
But belonging cannot stop at darshan. Don't come only as a visitor. Come to sow seeds, and to nurture the very roots that keep calling you back.
Because Rajasthan has everything a founder could want. The crafts, the culture, the stories, the artisans, the creative and cultural IP the world is only now waking up to. What we have long called heritage is, in truth, an economy waiting to be built - the of India.
That's Indi with me in this photo, in front of the Hawa Mahal. Indi is our Gen-Z cultural mascot, created to bridge swag and sanskar. I carry Indi everywhere as a reminder that our culture isn't meant to sit behind glass or stay inside temples. It is meant to be carried forward, worn with pride, and built into something the world wants to celebrate.
𝐀𝐧 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝. 𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧. 𝐒𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐚𝐬𝐤, 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐥𝐲: 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒆.
