EDUCATION & TRAINING
 To work as a cloud engineer, applicants are required to have a minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Computer
Science, or Engineering, or in another related technical field.
 Certification: it is important that they have relevant cloud certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions
Architect or Azure administrator
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
 At least 3-5years IT experience with cloud operations and systems administration
 A cloud engineer must have adept technical skills and cognate experience to be hired. Employers seek expertise in a
combination of the following areas: Practical object-oriented development knowledge with at least Scala or Java,
knowledge of systems like Zookeeper, Consul etc., familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and
Pivotal Cloud Foundry Docker, OpenStack, and Public cloud delivery know-how with AWS and/or Azure
 It is also essential that they understand software development, engineering, programming languages and tools; Java,
Python, Ruby, .NET/C #, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PowerShell, CI/CD pipelines, and ability to work with Agile methodologies

Your responsibilities:
We are looking for a Security Analyst to implement, support and manage our SOC (Security Operations
Center) as a service for US based customers. As a security analyst, you are responsible for monitoring,
detection, and incident response for vTech’s Security Operations Center serving our customers. Join our
team of experts who are delivering scalable enterprise solutions in the US market.
- Participate in SOC technology implementation, customer onboarding and advise best solution
stack.
- Support SOC operations – monitoring, threat-hunting, incident response to protect systems,
applications, and data
- Provide enhancement guidelines, suggestions based on market research and implement solution
to improve vTech’s managed security services program
- Conduct Incident analysis, response and forensics for the events identified on the logging and
monitoring tools such as EDR (Endpoint Detection Response), IAM (Identity & Access
Management), SIEM
- Monitor network IPS/IDS systems and perform event correlation, log analysis, incident
management
- Demonstrate excellent skills with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and automation scripting to bring
automation in SOC operations
- Work with Channel partners to strengthen SOC capabilities, participate in workshops, research,
and assessment discussions
- Support team of peer or junior analysts to deliver SLA (Service Level Agreement) commitments
to SOC customers
Preferred Expertise:
• Minimum 4-5+ years of prior hands-on experience in cyber security or information technology
discipline
• Experience using at least one major SIEM (Qradar, Splunk) systems
• Exposure of TCP/IP networking including knowledge of protocols and services
• Proficient in monitoring security events from various SOC channels (SIEM, Tickets, Email and
Phone), based on the security event severity to handle the service support teams, tier2
information security specialists
• Proficient experience working with IPS/IDS technologies – Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Fortinet
etc.
• Must have Cloud Security fundamentals understanding and experience
• Expertise in threat modelling and Use case development and ability to review policies of security
monitoring tools based on security concepts and logical approach
