Dear Seafarers, Here on Facebook, Everyday so many Agents & Agencies post fake advertisements (High Salary & Big GRT Vessels) to do fraud or cheat with innocent seafarers. They are very perfect to conveince you by giving fake commitments. Please read below to know what they do :

1) Very Big Grt Vessels - They advertise on facebook for very big GRT , New Built & ITF Companies vessels. In these days all agents are very expert they are high tech they see the ships on marine traffic, vessel tracker, maritime connector etc & give you the update about the joining port date etc.

2) Very High Salary – they mention very high salary for freshers & even for experienced candidates also(AB & Oiler) & you will not belive that in these day few agents are doing fraud with Officers & Engineers also. From this you can understand how they are expert to make pressure to seafarers to give money.

3) In ITF Companies - You will not belive they have tied up with the few bastards in ITF company also to take the interview of seamans sending thme for medical or you will not belive that these companies submit the documents also of seafarer by giving selection letter with the waiting time & when seaman ask for joining after finishing the waiting time company says it will take some time if you want we can return you documents to you & we don’t know any agent & we have not took any money from you go & talk with your agent. & between this waiting period your agent switch off the number & take another sim to cheat with any other student. These type of agents change their names & mobile numbers in every month.

4) Yesterday I got a msg on my whats app : Need Deck Cadet (950 usd) TME (1100 usd) GPR (7500 usd) AB & Oiler (2500 usd) in 20 Quantity.
I replied: Sir may I know your name, company name, website, address, rpsl num & your past track record.
Ans : he has mentioned 7 to 8 RPSL Agencies Number & said sara kaam RPSL ka hi karta hun & main bhi APJ Shipping mein Crew Manager hun.
Again I Replied : Maine usko kuch logon ke (directors in APJ Shipping) naam bataye pucha jante ho ?
Agent : Yeh Koun hain ?
I replied : Aap Company mein Crew Manager ho aur apne directors ko hi nahin jante.
Agent : Main aap ko har cheej batana jaruri nahin samajhta aap ladka bhejo main company se direct kaam karvate hun.
Us Agent ki Whats App Profile mein BMW Car ki stering par haath mein RADO ki Watch pehan kar photo thi Innocent Seafarers ko yeh dikhane ke liye ki yeh toh bahut bada agent hai kaam karva dega

5) Sometime Agents say to you that they are having tied up with RPSL Agency & they will give you RPSL Also but at the time of joining they give you fake RPSL Letters or even you will not belive they make tied up with RPSL Agencies also to get RPSL Letter only. My dear seafarers only getting RPSL Letter is not sufficient for your future after your joining It should be update in DG Shipping also.

6) Those Agents are running their small shops or placement offices by Name of Ship Management, Crew Management, Shipping Services, Shipping Company etc. you will get these type of agents in thousands all over the India. They will say to you that we have tied up with RPSL Agencies & we have already applied our RPSL Next month we will get it from DG Shipping, Govt of India & you don’t worry you go for sailing, we will give you RPSL Letter for your Further Mate Examinations etc.

The DG shipping (government body) has given license to the companies that can recruit people into Merchant navy. Any company that do not have this license (Called RPSL number) are not authorised to perform recruitment. So it is my request to you please takes placements through RPSL Agencies only.

* If you are going to work on ships always go through RPSL Agencies only

* Never pay an agent before getting the job, don't worry about the company letter (they will always be fake).
