If you are someone who checks your phone a lot, most importantly all the new social media notifications, trust me it is a really bad sign.
Something you should avoid doing IMMEDIATELY!!
Almost everything that you see online is not essential & does not matter in the larger scheme of things.
Moreover, it hampers your ability to think like yourself. And feeds your brain with rubbish information that it starts processing & ultimately you end up doing things that are not PRODUCTIVE.
Here's what happens:
Our body produces a special chemical called "Dopamine" everytime you feel SATISFIED.
That release of this chemical serves as a signal to your brain that you are feeling happy.
This is exactly why your brain constantly gives you signals to keep checking your phone because Everytime you see a new like, new comment & stuff, you will feel satisfied. And human brain is nothing but a system to keep you happy & safe.
It is assuming that doing this thing is making you happy & hence keeps on pinging you to do the same thing.
This is exactly the reason why people also get addicted to video games. Because your brain gets these signals of WINNING. And it wants to see you winning & be happy & satisfied.
Now this is your duty to control your emotions & FOCUS on the things that are important.
As I said earlier, almost everything is just "clutter" & you need to figure out what exactly is "essential" for your growth.
Focus on being more PRODUCTIVE than looking like being more busy.
