# JOB DESCRIPTION – QMS HEAD (RUBBER INDUSTRY)

**Position:** QMS Head
**Department:** Quality Assurance & Quality Control
**Industry:** Rubber Manufacturing / Rubber Moulding / Rubber Components
**Experience:** 8–12 Years
**Salary:** ₹60,000 per month
**Location:** IMT Faridabad
**Reporting To:** Plant Head / General Manager

# # Job Purpose
To lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring product quality, process compliance, customer satisfaction, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across all rubber manufacturing operations.

# # Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Lead internal audits, external audits, customer audits, and certification audits.
- Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis, CAPA, and 8D problem-solving.
- Monitor rejection rates, rework, process defects, customer returns, and overall quality performance.
- Ensure incoming, in-process, and final inspection of raw materials and finished products.
- Oversee rubber mixing, compounding, moulding, curing, and finishing processes.
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, work instructions, inspection standards, quality records, and reports.
- Implement continuous improvement using 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, 7 QC Tools, FMEA, and SPC.
- Manage calibration of measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Ensure proper traceability of raw materials and finished products and control non-conforming materials.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, R&D, and Maintenance to resolve quality issues.
- Manage supplier quality, raw material testing, and vendor improvement activities.
- Lead, train, and develop the Quality Assurance and Quality Control team.
- Prepare quality MIS, rejection analysis, audit reports, and management review presentations.

# # Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and QMS documentation.
- Hands-on experience in rubber moulding, rubber components, or polymer manufacturing.
- Knowledge of rubber testing, including hardness, tensile strength, elongation, compression set, and ageing tests.
- Expertise in root cause analysis, CAPA, and 8D methodology.
- Knowledge of FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, and PPAP.
- Experience in customer audits, supplier audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and team-management skills.

# # Candidate Profile
Candidates must have 8–12 years of relevant experience in quality management, preferably in rubber manufacturing or rubber moulding. The candidate should be capable of independently managing the quality function, improving product quality, reducing rejection rates, resolving customer complaints, and ensuring audit compliance.

**Preferred for Automotive Rubber Components:** Knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and automotive customer-specific requirements. These should be mandatory where required by the company's customer and certification standards.
