JOB Description
Job Responsibilities:
Conceptualize organization’s EPR plan in conjunction with key stakeholders within the organization such as Procurement, Supply Chain, BIG, OU and in consultation with external stakeholders such as CPCB, MoEFCC and other industry associations.
Be responsible for timely submission of data on annual report, updating of wallet, procurement data and data from registered vendors and suppliers.
Keep updated with changing requirement around EPR such as recycle content, refillable and reusable plastic as well as bans and sanctions in various geographies.
Answer timely data and analytics around collection recycling and costing of EPR.
Assess the integrity of the collection process through waste management agencies and recyclers – aspects around child labour, inclusion and safety, health and well-being of ragpickers and other associates.
Prepare annual plan and manage data around procurement of packaging as required by the system including statistics around traceability, blockchain and manual check as needed across system documentation.
Promote resource, material, energy efficiency in the areas of world without waste, climate change and sustainable agriculture.
Ensure implementation and consistency of programs in the areas identified above.
Develop national partnerships for monetary resources, strengthening compliance and speeding-up ex*****on – both internal and external - in the areas of plastic waste management, climate protection and forestry, carbon sequestering and sustainable agriculture.
Set frameworks, data collection criteria, measurement metrices, budgets, compliance, and governance for programs in the areas identified above.
Ensure that the company accomplishes all its goals on World Without Waste, climate protection, and sustainable agriculture.
Assess new models and technology for efficient ex*****on and governance of the above programs.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications: Post grad/ master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience: 11-15 years of experience required. Been a part of the sustainability or EPR teams of a large FMCG or related organisation (or that of a corporate of reasonable size – 4,000 to 6,000 crore company.
Functional Skills:
Ability to organize different teams (internally and externally) around shared goals.
Ability to handle ambiguity that sometimes comes from working cross-functionally.
