Prodi Pendidikan bahasa Inggris (PBI) merupakan satu dari tujuh prodi yang berada di bawah Fakultas Pendidikan dan Bahasa. Prodi PBI terakreditasi A sejak tahun 2003. Mahasiswa prodi PBI dipersiapkan untuk menjadi bagian dari global citizen yang mampu bersaing dengan kemampuan bahasa Inggris, kemampuan akademik yang dapat diaplikasikan di dunia kerja dan juga kemampuan komunikasi, cara pikir yang

progresif, dan pribadi yang tangguh. Dengan penerapan kurikulum Englishpreneurship, Prodi PBI menghasilkan lulusan sarjana S1 yang tidak saja memiliki kemampuan mengajar Bahasa Inggris dengan pendekatan yang interaktif, kontekstual dan berorientasi pada peserta didik, tetapi juga mampu menggunakan kemampuan berbahasa secara inovatif dan kreatif dengan penggunaan Information dan Communication Techology (ICT). Kemampuan untuk berinovasi dan berkreasi merupakan nilai utama yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh lulusan jurusan pendidikan agar dapat bersaing dalam kancah persaingan global yang semakin kompetitif.
